Time: Tuesday 3 July 15h00-17h00
Twitter has become a mainstream teaching and learning tool and has been selected as the number one educational tool of choice by teachers and educational technologists for the last 5 years globally. Even our teens are moving over to twitter as one of their preferred communication channels. So if you have not been convinced of the educational value of using this versatile tool, this workshop is for you. Please make sure that you are already registered for twitter (and remember your username and password). We will use twitter to create a community of practice, share resources, teach and learn. Bring all your personal mobile devices with you.
Session: Being (H)appy in the Classroom
Place: EBW A101 (BYOD)
We will brainstorm essential criteria for choosing apps using a brainstorming app that works across devices. We will use our mobile devices to discuss how apps can support our pedagogy and use assessment apps to come up with a list of essential apps for use in our classrooms. The delegates will share apps physically with one another and from my mobi server. There will be a few spare tablets available for group work, but delegates are advised to bring their own devices to learn in action!
