Session: Paying It Forward for the Blind
Time: Tuesday 2 July  15h00-17h00
Place: New Education Building EDU 15
In the original project, pupils used mobile phones to improve on reading skills and created a digital library of audio books available 24/7 around the world. This innovative, multi-lingual project is a phenomenal motivator to get children to read, especially for home,  first AND second additional language speakers. Coupled with developing their use of mobile phones for learning, it also connects classrooms around the world. Above all, pupils have FUN and don't see it as tedious 'work'. There are presently over 200 stories in 17 languages on the original website. Attendees of the ICT conference will use their mobile phones in an exercise offering much FUN.
